Paper-Ya strives to celebrate the new, the fresh, and the imaginative as their culture transforms, and not just in print. People come from all over the world to shop at their store. Denise Carson Wilde and Sharyn Yuen collaborated on this piece in 1986. Paper-Ya was a forerunner of the celebration of paper in all its shapes. The Regional Assembly of Text
The Regional Assembly of Text worked on a host of projects and co-curated a series of book shows while at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design Brandy Fedoruk and Rebecca Dolen run and operate a Canadian stationery and gift shop. They wanted to bring their minds and hands to work after graduating in 2003. Their stores feature many lovely items planned and created by them with a focus on text as a theme. All things retro inspire them, like antique office equipment, outdated textbooks, maps, and vintage product design.
