Bota Bota, spa-sur-l’eau has a past that is rife with twists and turns. I met Natalie Emond, Director of Customer Experience, daughter of Daniel Emond, and sister of Geneviève Emond, General Manager, to discuss this baby they share. The yacht has recovered from a hectic history when it was acquired in 2008. It used to be a ferry that ran between Sorel and Berthier in the 1950s and 1960s before becoming a theater boat known as L’Escale. It navigates the Outaouais River in particular before docking at Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu, and is decked out with a broad central staircase that no longer exists.
