Chez Delmo
Chez Delmo was launched by Mr. Delisle and Mr. Morissette in 1934, just up the street from where it is now. Delmo has undergone several makeovers over the years; the initial 38 bar stools have been reduced to 18 bar stools encircling the granite bar. The original illuminated tulips and the iron sign on the outside were saved and greet all of their visitors.
Furthermore, over the last 80 years, their menu hasn’t altered much. Traditional preparation and serving of high-quality fish and shellfish. The Dover sole meunière is a house speciality. Their chefs are quite proud of this dish, which was formerly de-boned at the table but is now done shortly before serving.
