“I am happy we discovered this place on our way from the top of Mount Royal. Just stopped to grab a bite without knowing the area, but luckily found the restaurant with perfect combination of casual atmosphere, very friendly staff and everything on the menu I wish I tried. I chose Gazpacho and Cannellonis Napolitains. The soup was almost as good as the best gazpacho you can get on costas of Spain, and the cannelloni were a masterpiece. The wine list I couldn’t help but read again and again. Ended up with Valpolicella Tommasi and savored every sip.” – Annalee Jeff

“A must stop location in Old Montreal. Perfect lunch spot or light dinner. Incredibly friendly staff who help you navigate the massive menu (in English or French). We had custom pizzas with our own toppings selected. All ingredients looked and tasted fresh, and was incredibly delish. As a massive pizza lover from NY, this spot was very solid. Tourist heavy location, so prices will reflect that. Ended up eating there twice in the few days we were in Montreal for work.” – Matt Mowers
Brigade Pizzeria Napolitaine
Brigade Pizzeria Napolitaine is devoted to the art of Neapolitan pizza-making. Grace Yeh and Jean-Daniel Nadeau, two entrepreneurs who also happen to be husband and wife, founded the company. Grace and Jean-Christophe Daniel’s vision was to establish a concept where everyone would feel welcome, a place with a soul where customers could enjoy a genuine Neapolitan pizza baked in a wood-fired oven much like the ones seen on the streets of Naples with friends and family. Brigade was the first custom-made Neapolitan pizza in Canada, and it all started with an oven they built in their backyard.

“Went early on a weekday, so it wasn’t crowded and service was quick. Small homey place with creative Neapolitan-style pizzas, some limited entrees, and house cocktails. Ordered a salad and two pizzas for three people and it was more than enough. Pizzas were excellent – these are true Neapolitan pies, soft and runny in the middle with a well developed cornicione. Service was friendly. Family friendly atmosphere.” – Berseker Mayan
