Azzurri Pizzeria is a modest family company, owned and operated by Alessandro and Faustino Ricioppo, as well as their mother Terry Ricioppo. They wish to make their father, Benny Ricioppo of La Luna Rossa Ristorante, proud by offering their clientele the closest experience to true Italian pizza here in YYC. In their toppings, they exclusively utilize the best products, such as “00” flour and San Marzano Tomato Sauce brought directly from Bella Italia. Their long fermented dough is manually stretched, tossed, and cooked in our 900 degree Marra Forni brick oven to produce a pizza that hasn’t altered since the early 16th century in Naples.

Royal Pizza
Royal Pizza was established by Gus Pappas and John Pontikes in 1969. They rapidly established themselves as one of just a few pizza shops in the city at the time by heaping their pies high with cheese and toppings. The eatery quickly became a local favorite. In 1995, Mike and Cynthia Hanley bought the restaurant. They shared the founders’ commitment to quality, tradition, and customer service. That’s how the slogan “Still Making It Great” came to be. Savino Pizzeria was developed out of a love for the traditional, fire-baked pizzas that originated in Naples, Italy. Great food was constantly on the go in their Italian family, and the days they made bread and pizza were fraught with almost manic enthusiasm around the dinner table.
