Santorini’s narrative began more than 30 years ago when a young Andreas Nicolaides emigrated to Canada from Cyprus, a Mediterranean island. Andreas met Maria, who is also from Cyprus, while in Vancouver, and the two became engaged after only a few months. The young couple went to Calgary for a fresh start after returning to Cyprus for their wedding.
