Calgary Childcare Centre
Calgary Childcare Centre tries to collaborate with families in order to better fulfill the needs of all children. The National Association of Young Children’s core concept is to provide a secure and loving environment that supports a child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. “The teachers at Thornhill are so incredibly kind and very interested in the children. My daughter calls some of the teachers her best friends. When I ask the teachers for information about my daughter, they share openly with me. Miss Una gets excited to share things about my daughter’s successes, she is so great. They are all wonderful and caring, I get such a good vibe from everyone in the centre. The daycare has an on-site chef (Bev) who makes all of the meals and she is friendly and helpful. The daycare director Penny is great as well, she knows all of the children by name and is incredibly involved and engaged in all aspects of the daycare, you can tell she truly cares. I highly recommend this daycare to anyone!” – Megan Hunter
Inglewood Child Development Centre
Inglewood Child Development Centre was founded in 1975 as a community-based childcare program created and executed by parents in the Inglewood area. Parents continue to provide direction and influence into the functioning of our early learning program today. They’re a Reggio-inspired program that uses the Alberta FLIGHT curriculum framework to provide an inquiry-based learning environment. The instructors plan their curriculum on the interests of the children. The instructors create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for the students in that class by using natural elements and provocations.

“I have one child that has been here for 2 years and another one just starting. I can’t say enough great things about the teachers. They are so compassionate and kind. They are noticing what my daughter has interest in, and expanding on it with other activities. The rooms are huge and the giant outdoor space was a big plus for us. Also, the chef is great!” – Angie Sarnelli
