Cafe Lokal
Cafe Lokal was born out of a desire to pay honor to their European traditions, with true Italian-style coffees, gourmet sandwiches and salads, fresh pastries, and handmade tiramisu on weekends. With handpicked music, a welcoming ambiance, and unique design, it’s a café developed from their passions.
Ranko and Aleksandra, two of their friends, assisted them in creating their comfortable yet unorthodox décor, which included bespoke furniture and a coffee bar fashioned from an old barn roof. The most crucial factor, though, is our consumers. In addition, their staff strives to make clients feel entirely at ease by providing warm, individualized, and courteous service.

Prado Cafe all started with a single, little business on Commercial Drive. Prado, which loosely translates to “open meadow,” earned a reputation for outstanding coffee, great baked items, and an inviting ambiance by focusing solely on coffee. Giovane Caffé is a contemporary Style caffè that serves a mix of classics such as macchiato and conventional cappuccino, as well as new variations like as marocchino, shakerato, and caffè al pistacchio. Sandwiches and salads inspired by Italian cuisine, as well as pastries and other Italian specialties, are available. Enzo Mari, a designer, placed an ad in Domus Magazine (issue #875) in 2004 with a wonderfully worded and emotional yet determined letter anxiously seeking partnership with a young entrepreneur. The name Giovane was inspired by this letter.

Our Town Cafe
Our Town Cafe was founded in 2003 and recognized for its Bohemian coffee house environment, persisting creatives, and homespun open mic nights. It represented the Mount Pleasant neighborhood for just shy of 15 years, joyfully snuggled in its slice-of-pie-shaped home in the corner suite of the historic Vernon Block Building. In the same way that the Vernon needed historic repair back in the day, the time has come for Our Town to shutter for its own loving refurbishment in 2017. They reopened their hearts and doors to the community in 2018, a nd now they’re getting ready to do it all over again.
