Book Warehouse

Book Warehouse
Book Warehouse spans three generations of book enthusiasts and many distances. The first Book Warehouse site on Broadway and Ash was set to shutter permanently in May 2012. Cathy believed that this store was far too wonderful to be lost, and after reviewing the business plans, it was evident that Book Warehouse was a powerful company with a large following. Book Warehouse relaunched after only five days of renovations, led by their daughter and third generation bookseller Caitlin Jesson, and is still running strong. In 2014, a second Book Warehouse store was built at Main and King Edward, following the success of the Broadway site.

REVIEWS:

“Just shopped here for the first time. Thought it was an extremely pleasant book shop. It had all the basic stuff you would expect, good selection, well maintained , reasonable prices. However it also had the extra touch of all the information of what the staff thought of the books. It made ot a very immersive shopping experience. Also the staff just seemed happy to work their. I’m sure its still work, but the staff where upbeat, and helpful.” – Jake Bishop

Massy Books

Massy Books
Massy Books is a unique shopping hotspot in Vancouver’s Chinatown neighborhood, made even more lively by the book enthusiasts that frequent there. It’s a location where individuals are encouraged to explore and ask questions, as well as browse in ways that provide a break from their daily routine. It’s a communal area where people meet to share talk, interact, and organize when it’s not an emporium of literary delights. Books have a portable enchantment that piques interest, inspires dialogues, connects dots, and motivates action. They think that books have the potential to enhance people’s lives and foster community.
