Langevin School
First on the list is Langevin School. They are located in the northeast community of Bridgeland or Riverside. They are a unique K-Grade 9 school that is primarily made up of students who come from throughout the city to attend the Science Alternative Program. They also house a system special education class (ACCESS) which are all programs of choice within the Calgary Board of Education.
The Science Alternative Program is the largest program with space for 630 students in Kindergarten through Grade 9. This program is designed to meet the needs of students who have a keen interest in science and inquiry-based learning. Connaught School
Third on the list is Connaught School. They are one of the original sandstone buildings in Calgary. Construction of the school was completed in 1911 and doors of the school were opened 102 years ago to accommodate the increasing population of the Beltline area. The school was named in honor of the Duke of Connaught, the son of Queen Victoria and then Governor General of Canada. The Duke and Duchess were in Calgary in 1912 to open the Calgary Exhibition & Stampede.

Westmount Charter Mid-High School
Last on the list is Westmount. They are the only K-12 congregated setting in Alberta for students who are gifted.
