“After reading many reviews and different opinions of the place was unsure about trying. So glad we did though. Was nice and bright upon walking in the door and were greeted instantly by Dean who served us. Very cheerful and outgoing! We found out later this was the owner which was nice to see the passion he had for the place. The food was amazing and the menu wasn’t the usual run of the mill every where has. Highly recommend and will be back to try more of the menu” – MK

“The Black Dog is my favourite place for a pint of beer in all of Edmonton. Open from 2PM to 2AM every day of the week, it is home to the most interesting cross-section of patrons one could imagine. The bar tenders are all friendly, honest, and great conversationalists. As a bonus, you can almost always get a pint of beer for $4, and on Sundays, Big Rock pints are only $3.75, which make them the same price as when I was an undergrad! Highly recommended.” – Sandy Cooper
