Pizza Carano began as a modest 18-seat neighborhood pizza joint, opened by Trev in 2013, for fellow residents searching for something a bit different from what was going on across the bridge. The Firewood Café believes they have a very unique restaurant. There are not very many places in the city where you can go and watch your pizza being baked in an actual Italian wood-burning oven. The different types of wood, whether it is cherry, apple or pine lends its own unique flavor to your pizza. They determined that with such a special oven, there had to be gourmet type toppings to add to your pizza to bring out the wonderful firewood flavor.
