Denninger’s Foods of the World

Denninger’s originated in the Black Forest region of Germany where Rudolf Denninger and his wife Frieda operated three food stores. In 1953, the Denninger family established their first store on King Street in Hamilton. Denninger’s quickly developed reputation for producing high-quality, European-style sausages, as well as fresh and smoked meats. To meet increasing demand, new stores were added throughout the 1970s and 1980s and Denninger’s became an integral part of shopping in Burlington, Oakville, and Stoney Creek.

Denninger’s has 5 retail locations, a manufacturing plant, and a warehouse employing approximately 300 people across Southern Ontario. Denninger’s retail stores offer a range of gift baskets, catering services, and freshly prepared meals. Along with its signature sausages and meats, “Denninger’s Own” line of prepared foods now features a wide selection of ready-made soups and appetizers.
