“Staff was friendly and very polite! They were so nice to our beagle who decided this was the best patio to sit down and howl on while I was absolutely mortified at his poor behaviour – the staff let us know that his hound dog howl was awesome. The food was great and the ontap beer selection was on par. Nice place to sit for a break after a long hot walk along the river. Thank you for everything!” – Ashley Roach

“A great little pub/bar. We were there on a Friday night with a large group. It was surprisingly quiet there which suited us fine. The food was great. They mix a real drink. (I like a bourbon sour and they do them properly). If downtown and need an event venue or just out with a group… this place works well. It’s also historic and beautifully renovated in the old time style.” – Jeff Kahane
Kensington Pub
Kensington Pub is referred to as “KP” or “K-Pub” to regulars. The sign portrays the jowly face of Bufford, the English bulldog mascot, and the establishment’s brick walls are covered with green vines in the summer. The employees, though, are the pub’s true draw and the reason visitors keep returning. Lynn and her brother Bill bought the bar in 1993, and hundreds of her relatives have worked there since then, some for decades. Kensington Pub also has 14 domestic and foreign beers on tap, as well as a broad range of cocktails, wines, and spirits. Traditional Guinness Stout pints and Last Best Brewing & Distilling’s Tokyo Drift IPA are among the beers on tap.
