For Us Bakery delivers a fresh and interesting spin on your beloved classics by combining Asian taste with French pastry. Shen moved to Winnipeg from Nanjing, China, in 2012. She graduated from Red River College with a degree in Professional Baking & Patisserie in 2013. Shen returned to her homeland in China in quest of inspiration and new cuisines after an internship at Stella’s and three and a half years at the Fort Garry Hotel. Shen returned to Winnipeg after 9 months of traveling and experiencing China, where she worked for little under two years at La Belle Baguette, a French bakery. Shen decided to do something new with her Chinese ancestry and Canadian experience by mixing Western and Eastern culture.

The Crusty Bun was born and raised in Germany, and have lived and worked in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Japan, in addition to their homeland. Andi, a master baker with 33 years of experience, began his career in Germany and Switzerland as an apprentice and then as a journeyman baker. Andi got his Master Craftsman’s Diploma in January 1995, after completing his apprenticeship as a master baker. Frieda, his wife, has worked in the field of administration and management for 22 years.
